AMaRC works with a number of laboratories, including the Myeloma Research Group laboratory located at the Alfred Hospital to allow researchers to collect samples for scientific analysis into areas such as the genetics of multiple myeloma and biomarker recognition and development.

Many trials collect samples of blood and bone marrow for their own research. With the consent of the patient, we are able to store blood and tissue samples collected for one trial, in a secure laboratory for future research as scientific techniques and knowledge improve.

This work into the science of myeloma is important if we are to develop effective therapies and drugs, and one day, find a cure.
